In this painting I depict a portion of the Big Sur coastline near Monterrey, CA. During my visit there in April, I was captivated by the majestic and rugged shoreline as well as the unique patterns that can be found in nature. The unconventional brushstrokes and vibrant colors in this painting convey an essence of that jagged coastline as well as California's eccentric and beautiful culture.
