California is one of the most picturesque and idyllic places in the world. During my visit there nothing struck me quite like the magnificence of the Big Sur coastline. In this painting I chose bold and contrasting hues to create a juxtaposition between the fortitude of California's coastline versus the serenity of watching a sunset over the Pacific. The fine lines and bold brushstrokes represent the details I found in nature. Nothing compares to the beauty and tranquility of a California sunset and I hope that the solace I found there can also be found in my painting. 

“California Dreaming” is an acrylic painting on a 18”x24”x1.5”(d) stretched canvas. The edges of the canvas are fully painted and it will arrive ready to hang.
