As an artist I have always been drawn to abstract paintings, but knew I needed to spend time exploring different ideas. In my studio time this year I have thought about traveling and different memories over and over again. When I think back on certain memories and places that I have explored, some moments seem hazy and all I can remember are the feelings and emotions rather than the details. I want my abstract paintings to represent the blurry memories that are more about the feelings that those memories evoke rather than what is actually there.
